Dried orange slices are all the rage this Christmas! Turn them into little foxes, add beads, or keep it simple! I loved using these to decorate my Christmas tree! I also used them to decorate my garland as well! Something about the texture adds a fun vibe to the Christmas vibe plus the orange looks great against the green pine!

Baking Instructions
Step 1.) To make Dried Orange Slices Fox Ornaments first preheat the oven to 230 degrees F. Cut slices 1 cm wide, and put on a baking sheet with parchment paper to avoid sticking. Put in the oven and Bake for 2-3 hours and flip the slices over every 30 minutes. You can take out smaller slices if they start to brown and leave the bigger slices in their longer. If they do start to look burnt on the edges, take it out and for any slices left just lower the temperature. The burnt-edged ones will be perfect for painting later so don't worry too much!
Once all the oranges are out of the oven, let them cool for 30 minutes.
Now to decorate!
We'll start with the basics with this simple beaded look!
Step 1.) Take an orange slice and make a hole at the top using a sharp object. I used my scissors.
Step 2.) Take 4-6 inches of yarn and put it through the hole, string on some beads if you like, and tie a knot.
And you're done!
So cute and cozy! But you don't have to stop there!
You can paint a fox face to it!
How to Make the Fox Design
Start by taking an orange slice and cutting two triangles like you would a slice of pie.
Step 2.) Take the two pieces and glue them onto the back of the orange slice at about 10 and 2 o-clock.
Step 3.) Then take white paint and paint two semi-circles on either side of the orange.
Step 4.) Add two black dots for the eyes and a black dot in the middle for the nose.
Step 5.) Lastly poke hole at the top and thread string through and tie a not to create a loop!
And you're ready to hang up!
